Foam core board, intaglio prints, handmade paper, original drawings on tracing paper, fossils, a shell, a pin.
Sculptural box design by my grandmother Kumi Korf, who assisted me with assembling this project. Pieces of her old prints line the exterior, creating a watery enclosure protecting the fossils and drawings within. Also included are segments of T.A. Conrad’s unpublished poem “To A Trilobite,” written in June of 1840.
